Executive Chef Ben Baker and the culinary team at Travaasa Austin are pleased to announce a new dining (and drinking) concept that brings a modern, farm-to-table experience to guests and locals at The Preserve Kitchen + Bar, formerly known as Jean’s Kitchen.
With the addition of the stunning new bar and the accomplishments of Chef Ben Baker, Certified Sommelier Edward Morgan and the entire team over the past few years, we wanted our identity to reflect the dining experiences we offer. Inspired by the Balcones Canyonland Preserve and the resort’s 3.25-acre organic farm, The Preserve Kitchen + Bar will continue to showcase the seasonal ingredients grown by Farm Manager, Kim Grabosky.
“We have a strong community of local farmers in Austin,” explained Executive Chef, Ben Baker. “Having Kim and our very own produce to contribute to that community – to grow items that aren’t yet accessible or add to the local supply, is something we’re extremely proud of,” he continued. “Being able to take that one step further and grow things I can plan my menu around is a dream.”
Farmer Kim and Chef Ben collaborate regularly on what can be planted, utilized and served to guests to bring them the best farm-to-table dining experience the Texas Hill Country has to offer.
