The Travaasa Austin team has been working very hard to develop farming practices and building structures with the goal of creating our very own Travaasa Farm. Every week our Farm Manager, Kim Grabosky, shares her updates on the development.
Today is a very important milestone here at the Travaasa Farm. We are very excited to be harvesting our first spring mix salad greens. Planted several weeks ago, this first harvest will be used by Chef Ben Baker in Jean’s Kitchen. We are all very excited for more successful harvests in the coming future.
Earlier this week, the rest of the Travaasa team helped me plant basil and lavender in addition to our already seedling-filled flowerbeds. I am looking forward to rich fragrance from both of these once they are fully-grown. We’re also seeding a new spring mix, late spinach, and three varieties of onions in the field.
The Travaasa Farm will soon be sprouting from everywhere. We are all looking forward to future bountiful harvests!
